Welcome to our new editorial series called Space Summary. Now look, we can’t be in every single Twitter space; it’s just not physically possible. But every once in a while, you get a giant Space from someone who doesn’t make an appearance often, and when that happens, the whole culture pops out. It’s like a giant block party with music blasting. With over 2600+ people in the space, Hitman addresses Aye Verb briefly before his special guest arrives.
After several tech support attempts and troubleshooting, Beasley and Hitman connect on a Twitter space to address all grievances, discuss narratives, and negotiate the Murda Mook battle.
Let's Take It Back To 2013
Hitman asked Beasley to recount the start of their issues. Beasley explained that after the NOME 3 event in 2013, URL faced complications and payout delays from the venue, preventing them from paying the full amount to the battlers. Although Beasley provided part of the payment, Hitman felt offended by not receiving his full money. Additionally, the delay in releasing his battle on YouTube contributed to Hitman’s belief that the friction from the NOME 3 payments lingered longer than necessary.
Despite these challenges, Beasley emphasized how they managed to overcome the issues. He acknowledged Hitman’s frustrations but highlighted the steps they took to resolve the financial and communication problems that arose from the event. This introduction topic on the space allowed both parties to address previous grievances.
Beasley & Hitman Discuss Gerald McCoy & Aye Verb

Beasley discussed his suggestion of Gerald McCoy as a sponsor for the potential Murda Mook battle. Hitman begins to detail the timeline of his negotiations with Beasley. He reiterates how Gerald McCoy eventually became skeptical about investing in the battle because he was unaware of the marketing plan that Hitman and Beasley were keeping their communication secret.
Beasley also advises that he had a conversation on the phone with Gerald McCoy, and McCoy confirms to Beasley that Aye Verb said, “Hitman’s manager is scamming, and Hitman isn’t fucking with Nick Cannon.” in reference to McCoy asking Aye Verb about funding a deposit for Hitman. This further confirms Hitman’s statements about Aye Verb’s negative remarks toward him.
Furthermore, this topic of getting a deposit from Gerald McCoy then prompts Hitman to ask Beasley if Verb had ever asked Beasley for a payment advance for a battle. Beasley confirmed that Verb had indeed requested an advance in the past, specifically regarding the Swamp battle. Aye Verb asked in June/July of 2023 for an advance on the Swamp battle for Summer Madness 13. Hitman takes the time to highlight the contradiction in Verb’s actions of asking for an advance deposit on a battle with no logistics.
Beasley Chronicles Fallout With Aye Verb.
Beasley recounted where things went wrong with him and Verb, explaining that he had advised all the battlers that they could proceed with payments whenever URL would receive the budget from Caffeine for their Summer Madness 13 event. Despite this, Verb asked Beasley for a $3000 advance for a potential Swamp battle on Summer Madness 13. With Aye Verb telling Beasley, “Send me $3000 so that I know it’s real.”
Beasley reminded Verb and other emcees projecting to be on Summer Madness that URL had not yet received the budget from Caffeine, and once a budget from Caffeine was received, payments could start. Also, no details or information regarding the event were secured yet—no venue, date, card, or contract. Despite the circumstances, Verb’s unmet request added tension to their relationship. As Beasley was befuddled at the highlights of the request being “if It’s Real.” Knowing they have done business together for over a decade. “How could you question if this is real if for more than 10 years of your life, the most money you have made as an adult as been with the URL.” – Beasley
Aye Verb Wanting To Work For URL
Beasley then describes another issue that also increased the tension. Beasley described how Verb was eager to work at URL and asked for a position. Verb frequently expressed interest in being a talent scout and fostering new talent for the league, and even went public saying he was planning to work for URL before a position was even offered. Verb repeatedly asked to be hired for this role. Beasley does confirm that him, Cheeko & Aye Verb had meetings and discussions about what this possible role could entail. Beasley mentions how, in the past, Aye Verb brought three emcees to the URL Proving Grounds to showcase theirselves to the league and also to show Beasley he could scout talent.
(Dating back to 2015, the NOME 5 PGs, Aye Verb brought KD, Jay Rone, And Got Flowz. Only one of these emcees proceeded to get another Proving Ground battle, but none of them ever made it to the URL main stage)
Beasley explained that back in 2022, Verb wanted a position of power at URL that included not only being a talent scout but also proposing he could act as a liaison to negotiate lower prices with battlers. So, the position he wanted would be aiming to bring in new battlers and have them and others perform for lower prices. As Beasley states, “He (Aye Verb) was asking for What P’s job was.”
However, Beasley felt that Verb lacked the emotional intelligence necessary for such a role and also didn’t believe an artist should have information about other artists’ sensitive financial information. This led to Verb not being hired and potentially marked one of the starting points of their strained relationship. Beasley highlights how these instances are the foundation of their fallout and points out the contradictions with multiple statements he’s made and that Verb is an opportunist.
The Conclusion Of The Space
Hitman then asked Beasley if URL owed Verb any money, as Verb had claimed. Beasley confirmed that this claim was false and that URL did not owe Verb any money. Then Beasley proceeds to say
“If you think I owe you money, we have enough of a relationship you can call me, you can show up, in person and we can step a side and we can work out whatever needs to be handled. Or if it’s beyond that point and it has to be another type of conversation, just come to where I’m at and put me in a position where I have to defend myself, and I will give you everything that you’re seeking.”- Beasley
Beasley announced that the Kings vs. Queens event would take place in September, with the date and full card to be revealed soon. Additionally, he shared that URL would stream a live event for free for APP members next Saturday, August 3rd, 2024.
At the end of the Twitter space, Hitman expressed optimism about future collaboration, stating that they would stay in touch and work on something together in the near future.
